In myths and stories, the magerath were said to be the first inhabitants of Earth, a race who occupied it long before humans. They built Gateways, transports from their world to Earth, in areas of strong spiritual energy, 'leylines.' As the humans came to exist, the magerath blended into society. In later centuries the humans encountered the magerath. Witch burnings and executions ensued.
As their presence faded, the magerath fled or blended, and the leaders of the killings and revolts ceased their crusades, the presence of the magerath was all but forgotten, save in legends and myths.
Centuries later, after countless advancements and losses, humanity began to colonize space and terraform planets they deemed suitable for their growing population, a "Great Migration." Just when humanity had seen a bit of peace they made contact with a familiar race: the magerath, prideful and exotic people of the planet Xel Kyan. The Earthlings saw this as an opportunity: a chance to recreate themselves. To redeem their Earth from the dust ball it had become and reverse their mistakes. The magerath had appeared from their home to avenge their ancestors in the form of nothing short of a crusade.
War ignited. People chose sides, alliances. This continued for fifteen years.
Nautilus, a military corporation of growing proportions, ceased the conflicts. A lull of peace fell upon the universe--but not for all. In this period, the Republic, an interstellar government, and the Alliance, a ring of opposed factions and rebels, was born.
Present day, 2385: Earth is all but a wasteland. New planets and races have been discovered. Humans are not the only intelligent race. Bitterness still lies between the humans and magerath. The half-bloods remain to be persecuted against, though with subtler means. Corruption lies within the Republic. The Alliance is becoming more apparent. The supernatural and unexplainable entwines with life. The Mageran Empire faces conflict within its Houses and violence veiled behind a guise of secrecy.
The horizons have expanded. Those that live scratch out an existence however they can, rich, poor, middle-classed. But most of all-- they live.

Venus Venus was one of the first places to be colonized after Earth's fall, as the result of many tests and experiments.
Nevertheless, people live here now, and the dominant race is the humans. The crime rate here is high; many bounties spawn from Venus. The police forces are most often seen chasing the newest criminal, or wanna be, down the winding roads of cities and metropolises alike.
Venus is mostly made up of huge, bubble like colonies, due to the envirornment and atmosphere.
Many types of technology and development spawned from Venus, but not to Mars' scale.

Alvista Gas Giant This is a gas giant without an actual surface, thus resulting in many colonies in and surrounding the planet, and its cloud.
The colonies are usually top-of-the-line with technology, housing millions of people in their interconnecting homes, offices, cities, and buildings.
Crime is rare, here, as a criminal would be stupid to even attempt to murder in these colonies; law enforcement is very efficient. But one shouldn't say that it's never been attempted: terrorist attacks have been executed, in attempts to bring down the colonies all at once.

Geneva Geneva is a small planet discovered a ways from Earth, said to be the first planet created by the Weavers and blessed with their energy.
The planet itself is full of life, and violence is rare; the laws are held strictly here, yet the citizens love the atmosphere. It is an ideal vacation spot, like parts of Ganymede. Sailing and boat races are popular; it has many famous, breathtaking beaches and other various forms of natural beauty.
The cities are crowded with museums, have many excellent cultural events, even more good restaurants, and are ideally placed for quick Gate hops.
This acclaimed neutral territory displays an obvious self-confidence and sense of peace. It is in pristine condition, clean, efficient and safe, yet spirited in its style.

Earth Though people of all kinds still live on this planet, it is essentially a wasteland, stripped of the beauty it once had. The humans hail from the world, trying to make a living off of the 'hunk of rock' that the once lush Earth has become.
Hardly anyone lives here willingly, and if they do, they're most likely trapped; this planet is popular for criminals on the run. Earth's population is dwindling, yet some still remain. Many countries have become completely unable to support life, whether by bombings, radiation, or being overrun with Wraiths, yet some remain populated.

Mars Experimentation and testing has made this place suitable for living. It has been terraformed, and made into a lush planet, though the red soil remained. Known for its syndicates, as well as its technology, a bulk of the universe's population lives on this red planet, due to the great migration of humans from Earth, years ago.
Mars is divided into eight sprawling Sectors which cover a large portion of the planet, with the higher numbers being where the rich live, and the lower where the average and the poor dwell.

Vulcan Station The very first space station that humanity created. Although it's the first, it's also very old, and close to abandoned. The station was originally created to balance out the change caused by a section of Earth's moon being destroyed by the magerath's initial invasion. Now it is merely a haven for people wishing to escape all the troubles of space. Many half-bloods have made homes here.

Syrus Station This station is the newest created, and is full of the latest technology. Many people come here for rest, relaxation, and to enjoy the many shops and restaurants it offers.
The station itself is quite luxurious, no matter what the sector. Crime is quite rare; its a prime vacationing and tourist spot for people of all races.
Some claim it is merely the 'damnable Earthlings showing off their culture,' but others enjoy viewing the old days and what those who remember can construct.

Ganymede This place is the home to many syndicates, among other things....
Ganymede is famous for its agricultural business, as well as its beautiful, sandy beaches. Crime is rare on this planet, and when it does happen, it isn't out in the open, most of the time.
But as stated, many underground syndicates dwell here; law enforcement is too great for them to be public. Ganymede is an agriculturally-inclined planet, and the source for most of the universe's food. As a result, it has a very clean, pure appearance; fields and forests are common.
But above all, Ganymede is famous for its beaches.
Xu-Caldres Xu-Caldres is a small planet discovered close to Xel Kyan. Its entire surface is covered in liquid which has been researched to be identified as a mixture of water and an unknown substance. It is said this cool, lava-like substance leaked from the center of the planet, never hardening into soil.
Many shipyards are stored here, and the planet is commonly raided. Getting in and out of this planet is no easy task, though ships can land directly upon its surface. ( Its "surface" being platforms and cities) The planet's security level is high; crime rates are low on the planet, but pirate raids on shipyards are common.
